Hey those of you who work at pet stores do tons of kids come in screaming "nemo nemo!" and then there parents try to buy 3 for a 1 gallon tank.
piss on the nemo thing when kids do dumb crap i usually dont care lest theyre poundin on my glass. but on the koi note. Trashy girl comes in wantin a lion, mind you she was definitely one of those who shouldnt be aloud stuffed animals or to watch nemo. so she says I want that pointing at a lion, to which I a bit sarcastically replied do you even have a saltwater tank and she says yea so I say what kind of fish and how big she made some ridiculopus small hand gesture about tank size and pointed at an oscar in our pond and said I have one of those. I just laughed and walked out.
Not to mention I hear those questions about our reptiles all day like " Can I mix that bearded dragon with that water dragon?", I tell them "NO" then all the sudden I'm the idiot because I must not have noticed that they were both dragons, so OBVIOUSLY they can go in the same tank!
Ok, one more, we sell these little glass cartoony looking things, attached to a string for you to hang in your aquarium, some of them look like they might be real in some sort of a paralel universe or something, but most of them don't. I have one that broke off the string that I leave in the tank for "show". It's a little (red) turtle thats sits on the gravel. I can't tell you how many times people ask me if that thing is real, and oh yeah I "forgot" to tell you the best part, HE IS WEARING A YELLOW GLASS HAT! A HAT!!!!!
I seriously want to jump in the tank and drown myself after that. p.s. I love this thread.
