Peoples thoughts on convicts

I currently own a female Black Convict,man she is very fiesty,she will starts fights with the other fishes 1 inch or even 3 inches bigger than her.Does anyone find this to be interesting a fish that small,will fight anything twice their size?Too bad they stop growing around 5 to 6 inches though from what I have seen,they would be up there in the top 10 of most aggressive Cichlids to own then if they grew just as large as a midas.Overall a great fish to have and they never back down from a fight.

i personally love Cons, the last time i kept a pair they shared a tank with P.Polleni, two green tex and they were able to keep half a dozen fry alive to the 1.5" mark when when i decided they had earned there own tank, a pair of Cons with fry will not back down from anything

Hell yeah they are,this female is awesome,she took on both my 3 inch jack dempseys at once,I was amazed on how much they don't care lol.Right now she is battling with my Salvini,but I notice the Salvini will not back off at all,so the black convict has mental issues of going against a sal that is twice as big.

no its normal my bio teacher has some he breeds them..and there name convict is true lol

I personally think of Convicts as feeders LOL, Not really a big fan of them x.x
