like one said, they are like mini midas's,its such a shame they don't grow any bigger than 6 inches, cause I can see them causing damage to a ton of larger aggressive fishes,if they grew pass 8 inches.
I prefer the SB ones, really cause those are the only type of con I have owned.. so the regular ones look weird to me.. but yes, they don't back down.. I don't think they know how small they are when going up against some of the big daddy's..
true, but I am sure when they reach 6 inches, they will still be the fastest fighter in the battle still.I just saw my Black Convict take on my 4 inch Green terror, spinning around the GT and trying to attack. The black convict is only 2 inches,so I give her credit for doing that.
i have a male convict that owned a 125 gal tank. completely punked a 6" oscar, 4" losiellei, 4" jack demspey, a couple of 3.5" jags. the convict was only 3". they attack smart too...they move around and attack from the side. had to separate him. placed him in a small 20 gal tank with a few small red severums and he really calmed down.
I love cons and will always have at least one male. Right now I've got my favorite guy (and my first cichlid) in a 40g by himself. He flares and struts and charges just like a Midas, it's fantastic.
my 2 convict pretty much rule my 135 they can take on my 5 inch oscar and i thought the oscar was bad ass for taking on my 8inch silver aro but he got pwned by my convicts
