Perch tank

Finally have the current setup ready to go to get my juvenile perch. Tank is a 65 gallon 36x18x24 footprint. Also will begin planting as well. Hopefully will have the fish by Saturday at the earliest.

Yellows are some good looking fish but they were finicky eaters when I had mine.

Mine were the same, very tough to get to eat sometimes.

When I previously had them I never had any issues with them feeding. With the amount I fish I should have a steady supply of minnows to feed them.

IME catching juvenile yellow perch, they like a lot of cover especially vegetation. I've never kept any in captivity. Would worms, Mysis shrimp, small bits of fish be good foods?

I am planning on planting the tank to make it more the fishes natural habitat. All of those foods would be suffice

Can’t wait to see how this turns out, that’s the perfect size tank for average adult Yellows. Just as a tip, my trio prefers bloodworms to any other food option.
