Perch tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They are quarantined prior to feeding. No way I'd just go to LFS then dump them in
Doesn't matter, the toxins and thiamase will still end up killing your fish, probably in the top 5 causes of death for monster fish

Update- Nothing significant to note other then how large the perch have grown in such a short time. Largest one now has to be closing in on 8" and pretty thick at that. Walleye seems to super slow growing. I've switched them over to silver sides and haven't had any issues. I'm replacing the AC110 this afternoon for a canister filter. After so many years with cannisters the flow of an HOB is driving me insane. Also a little bit of an algae bloom especially on the drift wood. Working on clearing it up. Still continuing with once a week WC @ ~40%

Well I’m in the hospital now and my girlfriend just ran home to get some things and called to tell me all of my fish are dead. Water temp looks fine. I’m curious if it was an issue with the new filter I put on. Hopefully I’ll be discharged tomorrow morning and I’ll be able to test the water.

If you added a new filter possibly an ammonia spike.

Thinking this. Went well from Thursday to Monday night. My girlfriend was home Monday night and they were fine. Thinking a spike occurred between Monday night and Tuesday morning occurred. Talk about being kicked while you’re down. Probably won’t be discharged until Friday to test the water. Never had a fish kill like this before. From the pictures my girlfriend sent all fish had gills flared but no signs of ammonia burn or anything so it happened quick
