How about a sailfin marbled pim? They max out at 24" I believe. According to planet catfish. Beautiful fish imo.

L. pictus go larger than 2'. i think the 2' estimate is on the low side. Probably just what the average aquarium hobbyist can hope to achieve. I can be wrong though. More research reveals most sites agree with 2' max.![]()
Ya, it'll be fine for a while, but they are pretty bulky cats and I think it'll out grow the tank. I always recommend bottlenose cats.

gets to about 12" max and very active.
