Perruno catfish! Is it out there?

From what I understand temperment is different to. Liearius marmoratus & L longibarbus are more aggressive towards tankmates.

I'd like to hear any experiences that people have had keeping Perrunos on the larger size. As stated earlier in the thread mine is about 14 or 15 inches and seems pretty mellow unless he can fit a fish in his mouth. I want to put him in my 300 once it's up but am leary about what tankmates to keep with him.

Looks like a L longibarbus.

Is there any collecting from in and around Lake Maracaibo? would be a good start, least then you can work out if they even make it into the hobby. Any other fish endemic to this area that are in the hobby? :)

Think mine is a longibarbus. There are large keyholes in it's tank and a Synodontis decorus...

hmmmmmmmm.. ok.. so far its clear for me that "perruno" have 8 or 9 dorsal fin, with one hard one... and the longbarbus something has 13-14.
I have 2 at work, basslover knows that. 1 small and a big I labeled marbled cat.
i think i got some pics...

Anyway, whats up with the comparison? y are we comparing these 2 cats?
is one rarer than the other or what? whats up with the heist?
