should i get him he is not looking very happy in a 3ft tank at pets at home he is about 10" for £50 is that a good deal ??

but i dont no nothing about it at all if u all could help me plz ?? (this is not the real fish)

it's not a true perruno, but a Leiarus longibarbis.

they supposedly get 3' while P. perruno get 2'. it's a good price, but you'll need a good-sized tank

i'm not sure what you were saying w/ your google comment. should be fine in there w/ those 2 for quite a while. the way you tell is perruno have less hard dorsal fin rays than longibarbus, but both look almost identical. perruno are a lot more rare and therefore worth more so LFS' call them "perruno" to get more attention, from what I know and have heard

i don't think they are aggressive, they will just eat anything they can fit in their mouths...typical catfish and typical that they should eat quite a bit and not be too picky. I've never kept one, so take my advice with a grain of salt, lol. I have a couple LFS that have them and I am SO tempted to buy one every time, but they will get to 3' more quickly than I am prepared for at this time.
