Its really great you mentioned that about the nutrafin max as i was planning on buying some for my big SA/CA cichlids. I may try predator sticks now, anyone use these?

the dude tried to tell me I was feeding them to much hmmm 30-40 sticks for a tank with over 23 fish 80% being full grown cichlids the ratio just is not there for my fish to gorge and puke up because they are to full. maybe my fish gummed up the pellets to fast!!!!

and I even watched as the stuff just melted and flowed right through their gills.

I really think I am going to make my own foods and see if I can mass produce it for sale.

I have for some time really been wary of fillers in human food. The second ingredient on the spir sticks is corn meal, and the fourth is corn meal on the predator sticks. All one has to do is an experiment with corn starch to see how corn meal is not a good binder to use. it sort of dissolves in cold to luke warm water and makes the water go chalky.

I ALSO HAVE YET TO SEE ANY AQUATIC RESIDENT OF ANY TYPE COME UP TO ME AND PLEASE SIR MAY I HAVE SOME CORN :drool::drool::drool:,

I hate floating pellets for malawi fish :( made my whole tank die of bloat

I hate that people will attach the ugliest piece of wood they can find to a slate and call it an aquarium ornament. Half of them are so jagged the fish will impale themselves, and the rest are just plain phallic.

Jack lover, floating pellets shouldn't give your fish bloat. Malawi cichlids get bload from being fed to high of protein content, they need 99% vegetable matter. Could be wrong just wondering, because of air in the floating pellets or what?

arm and hammer cat litter, i think i got the odor alert one.
This was seriously the worst cat litter ever. it would have smelt better if the cat crapped on your face directly.
its not so much its failure to mask odor, as it was the scent it used to try to cover it up. the scent after the use of the cat, is no lie what i would describe as morgue smell with funeral home perfume. it reminded me of the time in science class we got a box of pig fetuses to dissect. if you get this dont plan on having company over ever.

for fish stuff, marineland penguin filters and stealth heaters. had three penguins they all gradually degrade in function(this is with weekly maitenence to keep the even running). there very noisy.
the heaters i went through two of them, they dont shatter, but the seals fail and start shocking you. bottom line dont submerge if you have one

i hate feeding Cichlid Gold. makes a mess in the tank and gives off a wierd smell 10min after feedings.

That and a peeve of mine is ppl with saltwater picture backgrounds on freshwater tanks.

Totally, saltwater ornaments in freshwater too. It's just extremely tacky.

I had a 3-10 gallon power filter (I think it was an eclipse, not sure though) that came in a package with a 3 gallon tank I bought for a betta. Not only did it occupy a lot of space because it was attached INSIDE the tank and make it look unsightly, the current it created was WAY too strong for any fish (I temporarily kept two cories in there) and ultimately one of my bettas died getting stuck behind it. :irked:
