All of your pets are or were wild animals. Do you mean to tell me that you honestly think that your fish are domesticated?:ROFL::ROFL:
fish are very different from mammals, thank you. Look out 10 pounds weiner dogs attack me! ahh! seriously....i think the hyenas and other predators are better off in zoos. Yes my fish are domesticated, all of them are pet store fishes.

But how did we get your 10 pound dachshund? From wolves...

You can't have it both ways...

I have to get off the comp, MN Rebel. Please don't take what I am saying as being a jerk, I am not trying to start a fight, rather, just have a discussion. I want this to stay civil =)

I will be back in like a couple hours

I have a lot more of those pix somewhere. Will try to find them.

This is not for tourists. and for photos, nor do they travel all over Africa ( no one can travel all over Africa ). This is a trend among Nigerian gangs. Those are the pitbulls of Nigerian hooligans.
i thought the guy looked pretty dangerous ..the hyena looked tame in comparison...

I think that the picture is professional, the semi-bush gear the guy is wearing, come on. Hyena's as pets well dispite the fact that a bite could crush your bone (like you femur), and the annoying sound they make.... I also think that they are one of the most unfortuante looking animals.

Can a knife be compared with a gun?

I dont get what you mean...are you agreeing? Because thats pretty much what i said...a snake doesn't compare to a hyena.

Another thing to note; is it a "pet" if it needs its mouth tied shut? Thats a pretty basic function for any mammal to be deprived of. DO hyenas pant???

Well i really hate to see hyenas in wrong hands, just like big cats (tigers, lions, cougar etc) in some idiots's hands whos not enough responsible to take care for these wild animals. As im against people who shouldnt have wild animals as pet as these people lack of personal responsiblity. If you research your animals and know what they needs and make sure that your animals stay away from public (hence the private ranches) for safety reasons. Hope they dont sell these hyenas to the people who enjoy dogfighting or animals fighting.

And these pictures sure send wrong message to these people think its okay to keep hyenas as pets. Hyenas were little or never domesticated. Its not uncommon for animal sanctuary have to deal with too many exotic animals, especially too many tigers and lions in some sanctuaries. Many exotic animals ended in canned hunts, taxidermies and sometimes into the wild. That can be future for most hyenas. And its not uncommon to see headlines in newspaper when the exotic animals attacking the people..

Like i said i dont against hyena keeping, I'm against these irresponible people:screwy:

Maybe because the hyena is muzzled?

no i just feel that the owner is cruel and using the hyena for all the wrong reasons... just like you mentioned the controlled hunt... poor animal who has no idea it is going to be hunted stands there and a moran shoots it like it is their big prize from hunting an animal in the wild... where all they did was pay for an animal that they could shoot... the more i see the more it hurts,...

forget about the hyenas and rhinos, i want a wallaby:D

I went to a farm like an hour from here to look at dwarf rabbits with my neice they had wallabys -dwarf goats and ofcourse standard pot belly pigs which wind up in shelters or close to free in craigs list.

The wallabys were outside in enclosed pens I think its an outdoor type dont bother me and dont annoy me type "pet".
