is it possibal for hyenas and wolves to mate ive heard of coyotes mating with domestic dogs and then there offspring mating with wolves but would hyenas and wolves be able to mate

Nope, not possible. Wolves are from the family Canidae and Hyenas are from the family Hyaenidae and are too far apart on the evolutionary tree to breed and produce offspring. Hyenas are more closely related to cats than dogs as well.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA_for_English

simple answer- NO.



ive always wanted a pet hyena, especially the spotted. maybe one day i could afford the fully double fenced land, ect... that would be required to safely house such a special animal. but proboably not.:(
