Pet Smart: Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Like I said, if you are a Manager and only make $25,000.00 a year then I agree with you, but if you make 70,000.00 a year PLUS a quarterly bonus, I expect MORE of you. I take it that managers of PetSmart only make $25,000.00 and your argument is 100 percent valid. But asking for a discount on a $1,000.00 sale is not somethng that a manager shoud THROW the customer out like at a Garage Sale like you seem to advocate. How well does your store do? You have to LIKE your customers, unless you are Tiffany's Jewelry on RODEO DRIVE. I love your management Skills. Throw out a customer willing to spend $1,000.00 because you do not like showing an interest in his hobby. Besides I did title this thread PetSmart: Good, Bad, Indifferent. I showed the GOOD, the Bad and the Indifferent.

We can agree that, on this issue, we just do not agree. Unless of course the MANAGER is just a glorified Cashier with a KEY to the front door and makes $10.00 an hour. Then my perspective changes rapidly. Minimum Pay, minimum work!

I don't work in stores any more, but my wife still does. She is not a glorified cashier, she actually has her management/marketing degree, smart guy. And she with the rest of their management, is top notch, which is why even in a mid-size town they are able to be one of the top stores in the company. And guess what, they have crybabies there, too. In reference to me "throwing" people out...way to exagerate a comment. When they continue to prod, and won't give up, you're happy to let them walk out the door. Trust me, I had many dedicated, regular customers. And don't lay on your crap about "willing to pay $1000".....BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T! YOU WERE TRYING TO GET A DISCOUNT GENIUS!! Wheeling and dealing happens at GARAGE SALES, not in a retail store that sells the same stuff you are trying to swindle, for the same old regular price, every day. I like your mind set. I'm going to go to my grocery store and say "Well, I'm spending like $150, so how about we just make it an even hundred? You're welcome to counter if you like." And where the hell do you get your pay figures? Who did you barter with for those? Your title means nothing when your actual comments don't follow the same lines. Minimum common sense, minimum productive, meaningful input.....

So to your title....yes, yes, and yes. There are good, and there are bad, which leads to the indifferent. Those are the ones that have a clue. They know how things work, they understand things outside the box. Use the search option, and you will find mirrored threads like your own, and maybe you can rest tonight knowing you are not alone in this harsh, hard, lonely world. And don't worry, there will be another clone step in, maybe a couple weeks from now, to start up a whole new thread just like yours.
