Pet Store Mishaps

That is the cool thingabout the lfs, is there is always something crazt going on. Once, the owner desided he wanted a store pet. so he gets this cat there to just loaf around the shop. it drove him crazy for about a week, and the dang cat would pee in the hermit crab sandbox (it was hilarious, but now he has a very likeable playfull dog), you all have seen the birds escaped from there cages going crazy around the store.
Some of the strangest stuff that happens there is personal damage. Someone is literally out to get the owner, every couple of monthes, some people come n when he has to do something in the backroom, and do thousands worth of damage. the first time, they dumped ammonia in all the tanks, the newwest thing they did, was key a very nice saltwater show tank, and right after the owner set up a great looking 180G tank and stocked it with awsome discus and the biggest angels i've ever seen, they came in and smashed in the front of the tank. 5 grand of damage. luckily the owner is good with innsurence. He really is a great guy, very healthy, cheap, fish.
The deals weve gotton are ammazing. Once they ordered a tiny little blood parrot on special order. There is a mistake in shipping and they got a 6-7" one. the customer wouldn't take it. so i bought it for $20, when the other store charges $40 for tiny bps. an awsome foot long carapo, for just $10 (they were affraid of it because it ate a baby prehistoric monsterfish). once, after a local cichlid convention, he had a bunch of leftover cichlids he wanted out, so he practicaly gave them away for free. I got a red devil, a 8" texas/ jaguar (great combo!!), and a few baby africans.

Best thing i ever walked away with free was a few extra tatras that found their way into the net and bag and were not counted.
But i am sure my time will come soon, where i get something big for free. I've been overcharged so many times it must be time soon. Likewise the same with the lottery!

I am getting a Silver Arowana for free 'cause the guy said if you buy this tank I will give you that Silver Arowana right there. It is about 14-15". And it is real beat up(no barbels, fin damage and one eye dropped).
I got a Planiceps Catfish marked at $75 for $40.

I know its not the same kind of thing you guys are describing but I know someone that put his fist through a 10x2x2.5 marine display tank in a LFS. it flooded the whole shop just about. Lucky for him though it was his own shop. Thought that was a pretty good "mishap" to tell!
what an idiot! Bet he regretted that.got 4 2.5'' - 3'' fronts from petco, the dumbass only charged me for 3, and heres the kicker..............regular mixed africans were on special that week marked down from $9.99 to $ 6.99 ea, so the fool gave them to me as mixed africans, even though it was clearly marked on the front of the tank that frontosas were $29.99............Before I bought them i even asked him how much the fronts were and he said $6.99, I even asked him again if he was sure, he said yes!!!.............hahahahahaahah!!!!! oblivious!!!!! I went back there a few times trying to see if they ever got cool rarer type fish back in, but nothing worthwhile though!!!!!
