most of the fish in my tank came from a local breeder. but alot of fish that come from fish farms cant be bred in home aquaria settings.

Peta has had more claims against themselves for animal rights abuse and cruelty than any other organization..

You know what Peta, most of my fish fish would be eaten in the wild after a few minutes after my birth. Anyway I bet you had some goldfish when you were a kid. Those are Real domesitic and gracefulfish right there.
Peta does sometimes go way beyond extreme. And they tend to be overdramatic sometimes. I am certainly against all the cruelty farm animals receive and other cruelty issues like puppy mills. But I think fish can be happy in aquariums and it is all about knowing your fish and being responsible about them. Not keeping large fish in too small a tank, doing water changes frequently, feeding them correctly, ect...
You could make a big deal out of everything. You could say dogs should not be kept as pets because they can't go out and hunt and live in packs as they do in the wild. While dogs have had much more time to adapt to humans than fish and are more capable, you get my point...

yeah but what makes us not like them is they are everywhere in the media, and they go to extremes like paying criminals who are their members to go firebomb people houses while their kids are asleep inside. that made me cringe.
