For those who shop at Petco, just to let you know they are having the $1 per Gallon Sale on 10 gallon + aquariums after January 11th. I just spoke to someone today and they said that their current promotion will be ending that day, therefore the gallon sale should be right after! Don't know if this is the right place for it, but thought I'd at least share!

Finally I can get me my 55g tank... What do you all think is a better tank? a 55g or a 40g breeder?

sweet, i don't shop at petco, but i'll have to make a trip over for this. Guess I should look in to making a 40B stand now >_<
I really like the 40 gallon breeder, just because of the amount of width it gives versus the 55 (very narrow). I made sure to ask the Petco associate if it was on all tanks and she said yes, though she only believed that the biggest tank they had at the moment was a 55 gallons. I live in Austin, so I would call your local Petco and make sure they are having it as well. I'd assume though that since it's a corporate chain that it would be at all locations.
Quick question guys, I've never actually gone and checked out their dollar per gallon sale, is it only the tank? or does it come with a hood or anything like that?
Sadly it's just the tank, no hood, no lights. Any one know the cost of a hood for a 40 gallon breeder on it's own? Or if you can even get a hood that size on it's own?
