Does anyone know when the next sale is happening? My son just got my wife’s permission to upgrade to a 75 gallon for his birthday. I want to strike while the iron is hot. I live in southeast Pa if that makes any difference.

Not sure, seems to happen frequently though...

I use the app on my phone to watch for sales...

It’s $1 per gallon to 55g then it’s 50% off

I like to build my stands so I only need the tank, but you guys are correct, the tank itself is 199.00 normally and about 100 during the sale. That’s a pretty good deal. Dr. Exum, good idea, I should have figured they have an app, I’ll download that until I get the tank. Thanks guys.

From what I have read and have seen for myself, now the sale only goes up to 40 breeders at $1 a gallon while 55’s and 75’s are half off. I suppose they aren’t making enough money anymore. We may be without the sale entirely in a few years.

In my area the problem is finding the elusive 75 gallon at Petco. I have to drive a 1hour round trip to go to the one store in my area that will carry them. While you can get the 75 for half price during the sale it isnt always that cheap by the time you get your glass top and lights. Plus the Aqueon tanks have some really sloppy silicon work.

I think the better buy is the one Jexnell Jexnell mentioned at Petsmart for $299. If I remember it correctly, it is a Marineland tank and it had black silicon. Overall a much nicer set up.

Was going to mention that Ive owned that particular Marineland tank in the past and the only thing I didnt like was the tops are the thin style glass. Larger fish can 'pop' the tops. I lost a large bichir this way. The Aqueon tops Im using on my Petco 75's are the thicker glass.
