I figured that this is the perfect place to add this. I also posted this at aquaria central but I know some don't visit that site and I want everyone to let Petco know your feelings. Petco wants to "Go Blue" by getting rid of antibiotics from all of their stores. I work for Petco and I have to say that I haven't used medication at all in my 125 gallon tank since it was set up about 12 years ago, but I have used medication prior to that. I have mixed feelings about the new policies for and against it, mostly against it and I wanted to know how you all feel about it. Here is the article on it. http://www.petcoscoop.com/2009/08/pe...is-going-blue/

this is a pretty stupid move sure some people will over use them with out knowing what there doing, but there are some people the may legitimately need them for a sick fish they acquired. what a dumbass

There is still petsmart

I just left a nasty message for them.

I dont think the problem is so much that they are discontinuing the antibiotics, but more so that the associates that you deal with directly will still know NOTHING!!! :irked: and give you some dumbass remedy ,so that you will shut the **** up and leave them alone... no offence to Petco workers..I know there are some that do care..but are very hard to come by... :(

Don't think this was a slam petco thread. I really don't care if petco carries fish anitbiotics are not. I bet there is a financial reason behind this decision. Maybe to carry more food, which sells a lot better. Honestly petco does try to train their employess to care, but it is up to the employee to actually care. I've watched employees get let go for giving an animal up to a family that wasn't prepared. Really since I stopped working there the only shopping I do there is in their clearance, which will soon have a bunch of antibiotics in it. Stock up.
