penguins at mine are 54 i think. We do have people that are really knowledgeable. Only problem is we have crap selection. Speaking of whicth, I picked out atleast 100+ dead fish today.

WOW!!! 100 ....hopefully feeders

i would say about 40-50 of them were feeders. Seriously. I would check all the tanks to find dead fish, come back 30 minutes later, and BAM, got some more dead guys.

There was this one fish that made me really sad though. It was just a molly, but I think its swim bladder was messed up bad, because he had no control over himself and was swimming helplessly. So I asked a manager if i could put it out of its misery, but she told me NO, that we HAVE to let the fish die in the tanks. :(

hey, bullhead, you talking about preuss's??? i have a love/hate thing going with them...!! for almosy 20 yrs!!!

anyhow, we only have one petco here and, although not the greatest, is better than the ones ya all have posted about here....

Miles and I met at Petsmart. All I have to say is critters like gerbles are the devil. If it wasn't for the fish I would have stopped working there a long time ago. Our boss was kewl... yelled at me once for telling a lady to go buy some chemi pure cuz it was better then what we had and that she wouldn't need a water conditioner. Our boss said the fish needed that "Thick" slime coat from the aloa ;) and appearantly chlorine remover is needed regardless of the fact we don't have chlorine :(

I always recommend the people that enter not to buy some of the crap that we offer. There are a few managers at the stores. For some reason, the guys are really cool. And the women managers are (insert bad word here).

It's nice owning our own place. Where I fail Miles picks up and likewise. That and the fact no-one can say go get a real job.... Miles breaths down my back but it's all in good sport. none of that clean the piss&poo out of the bird cage so I can read a magazine. Ask your boss lots of questions and make them feel stupid. Then quiz them later and when they don't have a clue ask them why they aren't educating themselfs! It's fun, especially when the people come in with 5 oscars 2 pacu's and a Hypo pleco in a ten gallon they just bought two days ago and fish are dieing. For those people we sell guns!
