Thanks again everyone, these are some of those fish that bring a smile everytime I walk by their tank, super happy with them.
I'm thinking of separating them though, looks like there are a lot of babies for sale out there and I'd rather see these two put their energy to growth for awhile. Would love to see the male up around 16 or 18 inches someday.

Great pics and fish. I've got 6 of them and out of that I have 2 breeding pairs (1 pair is sitting on about a 1000 fry as I type this). Super easy fish to maintain, mine eat just about anything but really kill NLS 7.5mm and Tetra Jumbo min. Jumbo min will put size on them fast by the way. They really start to color up at around 7-8" and get that sheen you see in the pics of them in books. Definitely one of my favorites.
