I had one a long time ago. It was a rescued one of course. The dumb ass fell down the basement stairs and killed itself

He was about 5-6 months, when he moved in with me. Before that he was living in a chinchilla cage...

So he was "too old", or weaned already. They tell me you should always get one younger than the weaning age to make it a good pet. Well I didn't get to choose.
We did go through a rough period of learning what is ok and what is not, but after that it's been ok. He's eight years now.
