Why wouldnt it be possible? Their supplier is segrest farms which actually has some beautiful fish, and as price goes, it happens because they are the Walmart of fish. They sell Frontosa for like 17$ and some quality kamfa (mislabeled red Texas) for 7$.

wow 17 bucks for frontosa isn't that great of a deal around here and most of the red texas here at petsmart don't even look kamfa like i said they just look like trimac hybrids some have flower lines but only about 1 out of 15 from the ones i've seen mislabeling my @$$ i call that false advertisement to me their not even worth the amount of breath i wasted to walk in that place to look and segrest farms doesn't list petsmart here, only petco which explains their beautiful discuss they started to carry here

The ones in my pic arent EBJD, they are BGJD that produce EBJD and the DEFINITLY did not come from petsmart.

No worries, I just wanted to clarify. But yes I do seperate the fry, unless im out of space then I let the parents raise them. But seperating them gets you more ebjd survivors, imo.

speaking of petsmart the red texas at mine look more like the pic of strawberry flowerhorns on the segrestfarms website than anything do you thing segrest is getting rid of less attractive flowerhorns by retailing them at petsmart as red texas sorry if this post is a little off subject

In my years of working there all I could tell you is we got all kinds of wrong fish mixed in with others. I was always having to correct things. I think they just throw whatever in to get orders filled so petsmart paays them. The only time petsmart gets reinbursed is if 50%the of the shipment arrived dead, so they were just trying to ffill bags..

makes since considering the amount of retail stores they would have to sell to but still bad for business
 
i wouldnt trust it personally, but for $9 its worth a try, id buy 10 of the best and grow them all out, at least then you have a chance of hgetting one to adulthood.

I loved it, I would take home any fish that were worth sumtin and grow them out or just straight trade them at a fish store. Made me profit lol
