is the few bucks you save worth having sickly, badly taken care of fish bought from a large crappy corporation?

Our local Petsmart actually takes quite good care of their fish. Never seen overcrowding, ick, hith, or any of the usually stuff you see at bad stores. And, most of the people that work in the fish department know their stuff and actually care about the animals.

i just picked up a 1 1/2inch aro for 10 bucks this petsmart just got a big shipment of all sorts of monsters that im pretty sure they wont sell and cant house properly it sucks to see

Bought 5 clown loaches, silver tip shark catfish, a nice green terror, and a pleco, can't recall the exact name of the pleco. All in quaranteen tank, separately. Hoping to get more clown loaches tomorrow.

I love doing that. My LFS knows that I HAVE to choose my fish. They wait until I pick exactly which one I want out and they make sure to get it for me. It's always a good feeling knowing you got exactly the one you wanted.

*laughs* For all their faults every single person I've dealt with in my LFS has asked me to pick out each of my fish, even the white clouds.
