No unless they are larger cichlids like 8'' inches.

Blood patriot, lol. Sorry, that made me laugh a little. But as stated before, they don't go well with most cichlids. It can be done, just not recommended.

They don't need to be that big i've kept needlefish with firemouths no problem needlefish can get long and eat big fish but any cichlid 4'' or so will be big enough to avoid being eaten i both BPs and FMs get wide enough to not be eaten only skinny fish need to be 2/3rds the length of the needlefish

i lost 3 4"red texas cichlids to a 6inch needle fish. bullied them to death. i thought i was gonna have a problem with cichlids picking on the needle fish. i was wrong...

those a pretty cool fish, won't take anything but live food, but they are basically like a gar for the rest of us that don't have 300 gallon tanks.

ya i had 2..... one got eaten by my killer red oscar and another one just died out of the blue!!! have no idea what happend
