Petsmart Sucks

I'm just saying that if employee wasn't being so nosy or if I wasn't on the phone and he didn't hear what I said then they would have let me buy the frog!!!. I was buying 2-3 frogs every other day they didn't have a problem with it. Well it over now. I stoped feeding my arowana frogs and he is on fresh shrimp and even the occasional king crab legs.

Oh I spend the much at petsmart because I was setting up a new tank, you know how it is when you just got to get it right and you don't have the right supplies. And sometimes I just think of new ideas and need parts plus the Petsmart that I used to go to is only three and a half blocks alway.

If he wasn't so nosy you wouldn't have an Arow But any way Frogs and toads are different all together.. Most toads If I understand correctly are fatal to feed... For the reason Dovii stated...

Frogs I hear are Ok.. but Toads I hear are killers Just an fyi ..

And someone will correct me if I am wrong.. As I haven't had the oppurtunity to feed a frog to any of my fish

I get most my spendy feeders from african breeders that, have stock that need culled for deformities or just overstocked

Dude my Arowana has eaten alot of fire belly toads and he is still living, actually ever since he started eating the toads he eats three times a day till his stomach is full. He is growing even faster now. I just don't feed him the toads because I don't want to take that chance. Some people just need to learn to mind there own business.

I shop at Petsmart and petco all the time. Never have I had a problem, why you might ask? Because I don't ask for help I completly ignore the employees. If you do your research prior, you won't need their assistance.

It's impossible for all employees in ANY pet store to know everything about ALL the animals they are selling, so the company has to set some general guidelines to protect them from getting sued.

I'm sure that there are people out there who are ignorant and would be feeding something toxic to their animals..then if they died they would sue Petco or PetSmart because they were never told about the consequences and repercussions.

You have to remember that these are mainly high school/college kids that are just trying to get buy. If these chains were to hire people that are herpetologists and ichthyologists they would have to shell out a FORTUNE!!

I see where you are coming from though...them denying your food for your aro, but Dovii88 is spot on...that could have ended ugly.

Well said, they are opening up a Petco next to me, and many kids in my classes said they want to apply their, but they only have knowledge in nothing or one thing, and if they have to cover the section they have no knowledge on, their just gonna cover with the guidelines.
So I do what evilixyardnome does and just ignore them.

Exactly. What I usually do is they ask me "Can I help you" I go "No" then like 5-10 minutes later go "Get me 3-4 dozen small crickets" and they do my bidding.
