my loaches are fine and healthy but 3 of my silver dollers died but its becuase my fish killed them and disposed of the evidence in front of my face so i cant return them
I bought 2 to add to my shoal yesterday. They are big, but sooo dull in color compared to my other CL's. I kind of wish I didn't buy them.
IMHO Clown loaches are the EASYEST to color up! there is no middle man, ie gut packing your baby crickets with carrots for color. They eat fruits and veggies.
Secret recipie for color in under a week
1. Mango Peels
2. small banana slice
3. Salmon ( little bit)
4. blood worms
5. cucumber
Ok this stuff floats and goes every where... so heres what I did. I bought the clear ghost knife house, and packed the goodies in there. They are trained up in where to get it, and its clear so I know if I need to clean out the leftovers.
Now only if i could get my aro to eat veggies
so after reading this thread for a while, I was really pumped to pick up some clown loaches today. I go to petsmart today, and to my suprise, it seems as though my petsmart has stopped carrying clown loaches, just my luck

I don't think there is any closer than half an hour away from my house, which I'm not gonna go to. This ones only like 7 or 8 minutes away. Everything else locally is either Petco (Their all horrible
) or LFS's, where there usually like 14 or 15 bucks for 1 inchers. When I asked the worker she said she had no idea, but the lable was ripped off, which is what makes me believe they stopped carrying them. If it's half an hour away, you should go! Saving about 10 bucks a fish is worth the 30 mins drive in my opinion
You should call the store first b4 going to check if they still have them in stock, if you decided to go.

I can't drive yet (only got my permit), and my parents won't drive me, and besides, my petsmart is really good so I trust their fish, but Idk how good the other petsmarts are and don't want to risk it with fish as fragile as clown loaches
