^^ Nice pics! Mine are in a 75 and small so its hard to get with my BS cam! Those are good photos, and I am excited to let the growing begin....(and I suck at pics. I just noticed the closeup setting while wondering why my pics suck so bad....lol)

Thanks! I think it will be interesting to see how they grow out. Mine is in a 75g as well, with a very large female RD/Midas (she is about 10"). If he gets too big and nasty, I have another 75 he can go into.

I have a 10MP Canon Rebel XTi, so it's more of the camera taking great pics rather than the user...:grinno:

Could a trimac live with a red devil in a 75?? Maybe with some large convicts to disperse the aggression or something? Mine at my petsmart don't look anything like those, they are silver mostly.

What size? They will not get along if both are close to full grown in that size tank. You could grow them out in that tank for at least a year though.

My red devil is about 5 inches, with tail probably 6, but it is a for sure female even though it looks male i saw it tending to its babies at the LFS...Wait when Trimacs get to a certain size, how do you sex them?

I was told that female trimacs have black in the dorsal fin. This all came about from this thread...

Other than the black, the hump forms on males and not so much on females.
