Petsmart's carrying new fish

their prices are awesome...
can anyone tell me why their online prices are significantly lower then in store though?

Simple, an online store doesn't have all the overhead costs as a retail bricks & mortar store does. They can be housed in a warehouse environment, which for rent is a lot cheaper, plus don't have all the employees as a retail store. Overall, their costs are lower, therefore their product is cheaper.

HAHAHAHA! I just went to Petsmart and got another baby FH FOR THREE DOLLARS! SCORE! I also got a 6" Bala Shark for $5! I'm a happy dude right now!

My petsmart rocks get some nice pickups manger got in some L260s and hid them in a display saved them for the plec customers good care their also also buy from big als for super odd stuff drive 200k at least once a month just browse take some picks this week end monster display tanks..

i guess where you live there isnt any petco stores, where i live there is just as many petco stores as ther is petsmart. in fact there is one of each within 1 mile of me. i must drive 14 miles to the nearest ma and pa fish store to buy anything though. petco has the cheapest prices of them all, the selection of fish sucks though, FISH is a great store. extremely knowledgable. they will refuse a sell in a heartbeat if you answer their questions unsatisfactory. i.e tanksize, other fish ete. i think that is great. sorry to derail

My petsmart has good deals for the little fish like tetras, platys, etc but their cichlids always suck. In fact it's nearly impossible to find someone to get a fish for you on the weekends. Plus, they know little about a lot of fish they sell and won't issue cred for fish you bring in. And they don't have ANYTHING resembling monsters. The only good thing is that the manager directed me to an awesome lfs in my area. He told me he buys his fish there

Petsmart prices are really high. Support your local fish store, not chains.

that may be in your are bud, but not here, the prices are way lower than any of my lfs's..... just to let you know

I don't like petsmarts. Yeah they have cheep prices but I would rather spend a little more and help out my LFS's. Besides if you get to know the people at a LFS you can get good deals there as well. So I say support the little guy, but if a petsmart is all you have then there is not much you can do.
