PH advice for new ray kepper

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
done a 25 ltr now at 7.83, seems to be moving slower though since I addedd the soda last night, for some reason both rays and discus seem fine and are swimming away, cant understand it.

Bro.. put the crushed coral back in. Use the baking soda to make a volcano.. and quit messing with it!

Do you want to test/measure/re-measure every water change, every day? No. Just "Let it be!"

yeh but wont my ph just increase again as im now doing water changes with tap which is around 7ph? I put the soda in to increase the KH as it was very low.

Easy Miles, the baking soda isn't going to hurt anything.

But, you do need to leave it be for now.

You now know that using the R/O water is what was killing your buffering capacity. You know how to keep your pH in the neutral range and keep your KH high. You have all the tools you need. Just go back to business as usual. Regular water changes, etc.
