would like some info

I dont like to use chemicals.. esp in my ray tanks....

My PH level is usually around 7.0
But I have to use bottled water to do this when doing water changes to make sure it stays in that range....

Reason is my tap water is like 7.6 to 7.8 range...

its getting expensive...

any thoughts...

I fill my tank with tap water exclusively (conditioned of course) and my Ph is usually 7.4-7.5. I've never tried to bring the Ph down to 7.0 by adding bottled water or by chemically adjusting it. And they've always seemed healthy (never had an issue).

My 2 cents.

Stop wasting your $ on bottled water. Your tap H2O + dechlorinator is fine. The key is to maintain a consistent pH.

Bottled Water???/ That must cost a fortune (I think it has high sodium levels too) Quite high environmental load too assuming large changes.

Rays are fine in PH 7.5 to 8....I totally agree on the small changes to bring it back up so as not to cause stress / shock.

As long as you Dechlorinate you will be fine.

ya, I use gallons of bottle water to do changes.. yes it is getting espensive..
reason was that I was told rays needed 6.8 - 7.2 range. If ithis is not the case, then Id sure like to know. Ive tested my tap and it runs 7.8 range...
If rayss can live ok in that, great, Ill do small changes over the next month and get them use to it by bringing it slowly up.
would save me alot of money since I have 4 stingray tanks Ive been doing this to

whats the best conditioner out there in the states..

thanks.. I been using Seachem Nutral Regulator. Seems to work, just wanted ideas on whats the best
