PH QUESTION

The same thing is happenimg to my tank,everything is good but my ph so if I add more biomedia it will bring it up.Buffers dont work.

a drop in pH combined with nitrite readings is an indicator that you have excess biowaste in your tank combined with insufficient biofiltration. When you change water make sure to gravel vac, remove any dead fish or plants or unsuitable driftwood, and get yourself a serious canister filter with biomedia (or a w/d) :thumbsup:

I HAVE 2 eheim 2028 running on this tank . so canister filter is not a problem . i think i was not gavel vacuming enough it seem s to be under control know . thanks for the help i did two gravel vacs this week and it is back to normal

Thats why I love this site everyone has good ideas and differant experiences to share with everyone to help each other . I help pepole when I can and they help me when they can , makes me a better fish keeper I think . That is what really matters in the end . I have learnd so much from this site .

yes you are right I am not a fan of the BUFFERS , never seem to work I try not to use any chemicals in my tanks unless everything else fails .
