JD, nice fish man. Although you seem great specimens in bare bottom all the time, and the argument is "I care about the fish, not the tank" - I guess I kinda believe a fish is more comfortable in a more natural setup.
I tried a jardini and some acestros in a bare bottom once and they were nervous and didn't like it. I find fish to be more comfortable with lots of space, but lightly aquascaped. I have natural sand, a few pieces of driftwood, and a big plant.
