not a fan of the parrot... but love the FH

Thanks, Mike. The reason for for the BP is that I hope I can get some decent Kamfas. I have never really liked BPs, but since I got this girl, she has grown on me.

Thanks!

Well here are some pictures updating how her tube has been looking the last few days, and the pics also show how she's been acting:

I've never breed Flowerhorns before, or any other cichlids other than Convicts and Africans. My question is- is it a detriment to have sand as a substrate? She is constantly trying to clean off a spot, whether it be on the plate or next to the plate, but the sand likes to keep getting on her spot. Is this making her hesitant to lay eggs? Do you think it would help if I raised the plate by putting it on a rock, or if I just put a rock in with a raised, flat surface. Or, should I just leave things as they are?

Thanks for the input guys. I will just keep it the way it is for now. The tank has been set up for a while. If I had set it up with the intention for breeding, I would have gone with bare bottom or gravel.
