Pic posting rules discussion thread

There's eventually going to be hundreds of pages of pics here to go thru on this sticky and it'll be a pain to go thru it all. Not to mention that we can't title what were posting pics of. What's wrong with posting pics of CA/SA's in the CA/SA section? Obviously the members want to post their pics in a more category specific section of the board. I for one LOVE to come to the CA/SA section and seeing other member's pics here. I have no issues with a some extra 'clutter'. Has someone complained? :confused:

The Marine section has it's own photo lounge. Since this is probably the largest section of the board, shouldn't we have a "Cichlid Photo Lounge"?

Maybe there should be one for each section...for example, a Ancient Fish photo lounge, a Piranha photo lounge, Other Monster Fish photo lounge etc.
 
Although I agree with balton....I know how to "buy in to" a system....Just go with the flow nothing is in stone. Maybe we should do a poll just to represent the feelings of the masses????
 
Well there was a suggestion to interconnect the sections.. Where we would have a Photo lounge in each section and it would post in both the main Photo lounge and the area section...

But i don't think anyone really understood how it would work :(

It is really simple though. In my opinion
 
The forums are too cluttered the way it is, we don't need a photo lounge in each section. There is a singular forum for showing off your collection, and species forums for informational purposes.

That would be too complicated, just have a separate photo lounge for each section. That way people could look at pics of the fish they're interested in. We could still have the General photo lounge for non-specific pics of just whatever.

How about just cichlids then since it's the largest? The Marine has it's own.

That is more complicated for those that want to just go to the main photo lounge.. Maybe it is just best how it is..

Another problem that will arise with having a photo lounge in each section, would be that it would bog our system down too much.

an Arowana one as it is close to as large with less species...
