Easiest way to tell the difference between Fasciatium and Tigrinum (if looks arent obvious) would be the cost.. Tigrinum require export permits and a juvie of that size will still run ya atleast 1 bill.. (maybe even out of the river). Fasciatium are a food fish, exported in heavy numbers, for a buck or two each..

urrr perhaps not DAILY water changes...maybe once every 3 days otherwise ull disturb the 'balance' of the water and u wud never alow the good bacteria to reach an equilibrium. then again catfish r pretty hardcore so it shouldnt matter.

They are looking great! It's definitely a fasciatum, and I would drop a bill on a tigrinum if anyone could get me one proof positive. I have 3 fasciatum.

remember one of my RTC had what i thought was gill curl?
well thanks to an LFS here in phoenix i was able to get a real good visual of an RTC with gill curl- and i'm positive what mine has was not gill curl.

I'll try and get a picture later, but i'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that its either a birth defect or he was injured at a very young age.
Oh and he's missing a whisker completely... He's still my fav. tho.
