Picked up a 535

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A longer video now that the lights are hung. Some closeups of the scape are in this video towards the middle.

A huge thank you to everyone who chimes in and helped me get this tank repaired, cleaned, plumbed, and set up. Couldn’t have done it without the folks here on MFK. I appreciate you all. Learned a whole lot here.

I’ll post a scape thread later on down the road for those of you who have been asking for help. I wasn’t able to get clear shots while I was scaping since I was inside the tank most of the time but I will do my best to explain it all in detail.

Thanks everyone!!!!!

I for sure will. I’ll have to draw up some diagrams and I’ll get it going.

Thanks again for all the help Justin. You taught me a great deal in the last four months. I really appreciate it!

So far it’s great. The intake is about 8” or so off the bottom. No sand issues yet. Fingers crossed.

Just wanted to ask a follow up question. How much flow are you pushing through your ultima? Does it move your sand around at all?

I’m really thinking of doing sand but worried about the pump.
