Just used the volume calculator. Looks like this tank is 600 gallons...
Who is the manufacturer and dimensions? I ask because I am looking to get a 8ft x 4ft by 30in tank from fishtankdirect which refers to it as 535g tank. If you go by interior dimensions it is 535g. If you go by external dimensions which includes acrylic it is then 600g.

Curious what your planned filtration is.

It’s a tsunami tank just like the one with fishtanksdirect.

As for filtration, it came with a 180-210 gallon glass sump. I have to measure it but it was at least a 180. Hard to tell with it looking so small next to this tank. I’m open to ideas. I don’t know anything about plumbing since all my past tanks were small (225 or smaller) and I used canisters mostly. This is a whole new learning for me.

Any tips or recommendations?

How do you like the quality of the seams? This is the exact same tank I am planning on getting.

Below is a link to my planning thread. I have never done a tank bigger than 180g or a sump. I am actually planning a HMF (very uncommon) with potential ultima. I would say the ultima filters really have rave reviews.

https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/tank-upgrade-450-550g-planning.697648/

From my initial thoughts they seem good but I’m far from being an expert. There are some white spots on the edges that I’m not sure of. Don’t know if they have any effects on the tank. Maybe someone can chime in.

I’ll read your thread. I have a lot of studying to do and after reading JK47 JK47 ‘s thread, I’m curious to learn more about the Ultimas.

I’ve heard good things about their tanks before and they use 3/4in thick acrylic which I think is suppose to be sufficient.

The acrylic is very solid and thick. This tank is very heavy. Four guys struggled getting it off the bed.

I’m going to measure the thickness tonight and will PM you.

Shop around. It took me three months to find this tank. Almost bought a 300. Glad I waited

Giantaquariums.com has all listings for large tanks for sale across the country. Might want to check that from time to time.

Been looking at classifieds and that site but think I’ll go with a new tank. With what I want to do for filtration I probably won’t find what I’m looking for.
