Picked up a Nikon D40... a few pix

Go to "Manual" mode and change setting until there is enough light that gets through the lens. Even if you are in low lighting conditions, you can still get a great shot. You just have to be in the right settings (aperture and shutter speed).

Yeah, Tongue33 sent me a pm with some settings to try out. They work well. I'm still experimenting though.

Had the johanna for about a year and a half. Raised from an idy bitty 2 incher. I'm pretty sure the other sax pike is menezesi, fat and happy.

What settings are you useing?

Shutter speed between 60 and 80 and aperture of 5.6. I was able to get the aperture down to 4.8 yesterday, but when I tried it today it wouldn't go lower than 5.6???

Any recommendations?

Looking good, I want a D40 so bad. You have quite a collection of fish/rays too, how many tanks do you have?
