I usually look through multiple sources and the info that matches, that's the info I go with. If the salinity is too low though, they start to develop this white fungus looking stuff on their skin and stop eating. I noticed this from when the lfs I used to work at had them. The minute I acclimated them to pure saltwater, all of it went away and they started eating.
