Any idea on how fast the L114 grows?

I've had a few types of L114 the common sternalla seemed to be the slowest growing of the bunch. My others grew roughly 2" a year.
I think a Pseudacanthicus would be the way to go. As your fish are mostly carnivorous and so are the pseudas, you should be able to feed much of the same food. They're also active and can hold their own. Many species to chose from.

do you think a bichir or pike cichlid would be able to outgrow it and eat it?

How big are the pike and bichir? If you're looking to add a baby 114 and it's ever out in the open I would expect the pike to eat it. I don't have any personal experience with bichirs. I would not trust my zebra pikes with very small plecos.

Sorry if I missed it but what size is your tank? I know you seem to have made up your mind on the 114 but there might be some better options out there for you...

i have a 125. Just got the pike and he’s about 2 inches
