Thanks! Just picked him up a couple of hours ago... gonna post pics in a bit. He's in my 72 for now bit I have this feeling I might eventually be putting him in my 125.

Here's a couple of the first pics... apparently it's about a year and half to 2 years old. I guess my first question is; is it a male or female? The former owner said it might be female because the nuchal hump isn't that large? What do you guys think?
Not all males have a massive or even large nachul hump. It's actually more of an anomaly than a norm and many factors play a part. Only sure way is to vent, but I would say at that size and build 90% sure you got a male. Awesome pick up regardless. A keeper for sure.
The original owner said he was about 12 inches... I think he's pushing 14 in my opinion. He definitely dwarfs my 72 bow. I can't wait to see how he'll do in a 6ft long tank.
congratz on your new midas. they are truly a rewarding fish..... as long as you can live with it being a solo fish. (unless you have a huge tank)....
I wish I had the willpower to buy a large tank devoted to just one fish, because fish like this one make me want a midas or red devil. 
yes great find,when you net him to the 125,measure him.your right a 72 probably won't do him justice
