Picking up fish at the airport?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've picked up a couple of times from Reagan.

The air cargo terminal at Reagan National is a good distance from the passenger terminal. Just follow the signs and you can bring your car right up to the loading dock. If you get lost, just ask someone.

Airport-to-airport shipping is the way to go for shipping large / delicate fish that won't withstand USPS Priority.

Good luck,
Matt

Thanks for the info Matt I will let everyone know how it goes. Just curious do you go to Reagan through VA or DC?

There are quite a few member on here which I assumed were kids(14-17) just based on the way they approach arguments and respond to answers they do not like. Only later to find that these members were grown men and women... Kind of sad really.

Cool, I don't know which route I will take honestly, the one through VA is shorter distance so maybe I will go that way.

If the plane is scheduled to arrive at 5:15, the package won't be to the loading dock until some time later.

You should check with the carrier for a recommended pick-up time.

Last time there was a higher priority "package" that needed to come off of the plane / be picked up before my fish: a coffin...

lol that is really funny. I may just leave at 5:15 it is only a 30min drive from my house maybe 45 with traffic.

One more thing, Gage said I need to bring an ID to get my package is there anything else I should bring with me?

Thanks, unfortunately I will not be able to leave until 6:30-7:00. My mom doesn't want me to leave during rush hour. I am assuming they will be fine for the short wait?

So picking up these fish was HELL!

Getting to the airport was no problem... finding where to pick them up... big problem! I went to several delta offices and had to be re-routed and directed to several "Delta" stations. Apparently the people who were in charge left do to being sick. It took them an hour for them to locate my package and finding the place were it actually was turned out to be very complicated. Fortunately for me the guy there rode with me to find the place. Oh and in addition to that I took a 30min detour through NW. I go to NE and SE all the time so I am familiar with that area but not NW. Ugh it was just a long night....

BUT, the fish came in ok. Anybody besides Chrisplosion or aclockworkorange know what they are. Hint they are a CA cichlid.
