thanks, I'm spending a lot of time stocking this tank because of saving for larger skimmers pumps etc.....

now its 550 watts of T12 VHO fluorescents, but I'm thinking about re building the canopy and trying to get some T-5 HO's with reflectors in there for and extra kick.

What I'm going to do is 2 of the 5 bulbs will be 14000K bulbs, 1 will be 12000K and 1 will be 10000K and the last will be pure blue, there brand of actinic, and the 2 T-5V-HO will be 10000K and 240nm actinic. This will give the tank a really nice crisp blue look and still have power for growing and supporting the corals.

so i think an update is needed. The tank currently has no new live stock, but i finished the sump, and the redesigned lights. I have 3 T-5 HO bulbs and 3 VHO bulbs. When i get some bills paid off and make a bit more money, im going to be looking at getting the last 4 bulbs i intend to have. This will use the same ballast the VHO's are on now, and will be getting rid of the VHO. Less growing power then the T-5's. Ill have some pics up tonight, the outdoors are making weird glares on the tank, so i figured id give you nice pictures to look at lol.

Very nice setup, I've read through most of the thread. I am in the planning process of a custom corner tank for my main entrance. How big is your sump? Can I see a picture of your sump setup? Looking at this gets me pretty anxious about getting my setup going. Good job man.

thanks very much. The sump is a 40 gallon breeder. I will try and get some pics up tomarrow. I had a wedding last night and my card is full for now. It only has 3 baffles and am currently running an AquaC EV180, which is out of operation due to lack of teflon tape. That will be finished tomarrow also.

im sorry, The wife has taken the card in to get the wedding pics developed so were golden. Now we'll just have to wait until i get home to get the shots. I havnt worked on the skimmer yet so it may not be ready to go yet, we'll see.

im sorry man, the card for the camera is still not able to store any new photos. Blame that one on the wife lol. anyways ill do my best to get some pics moved around so i can get those shots for ya. Stay tuned lol

the radiant is about a full 5 inches now. About 3 when i got him a few months ago. I had one in the 65 but he got ill with a fungus something or other and i QT'd him but he never made it. Just one of my favorite fish. I will work on getting a photo of him for you as well. He's very active so its hard sometimes.
