  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that stuff is from termites,it was all in my window seals of the house i bought and i had to get it tented,my sister bought an awsome old table in la and took it home also with termites, now they are in her house and will also be tented.Trust me,keep an eye on it,same stuff i had.

talked to previous owner.
he laughed when i mentioned termites.
he said they came with the wood.
he said once the stand and tank were setup he noticed sawdust under the stand.
and i guess he sprayed or did something to get rid of them.
so i just found 30 year old crap. not just crap, real crap.

tore out the old carpet they had under the tank.
found the stand is a bit "bowy" :irked:
im putting the blue,1/2",styrofoam under the tank.
think it will be ok?
you can see the bow in last 2 pics.

yep i did read your bump... and yes if you get something, watever your goin to use styro or ply to cover the inside grove at the bottom of tank and between a very sturdy stand.... your CHERRY!!!

I used the white 1/2 foam that goes under vinyl siding on my 300, and JD_man used the same thing under his 220. With glass tanks I don't use any foam, but when they don't have a frame on the bottom I would. I'm betting the blue foam will work fine. It's pretty dense stuff.(I've never used it though)
