somwhere
I went to my lfs and picked up my tank that I ordered and set it up. Cant fill it until I get home after vacation in another month so thats a bummer. Its going to be filtered with a wet/dry(pictured) and 2 PEnguin 350s. I set up my undergravel jets powered by 2 rio 2500's.

I have one question, the top is permenently built in but there are 2 holes for lights. There are no places to hang filters on the back so what do I do? Am i not supposed to use HOB's, or do I have to cut holes in the top?

Enjoy :headbang2

nice tank! I would just go with the wet/dry and maybe a canister full of bio media and skip the hang ons.

My thoughts exactly. You dont really need an HOB with a wet dry.

I only thought I would use the HOBs for mechnical filtration. My wetdry dosnt really cover mechnical filtration. My stock list is a follows

Jack Dempsey
Green Terror
Green texas
Gold severum
Firemouths or Cons(maybe)
Silvar dollars
Clown Loaches

perhaps modify the wet/dry to include a bag for mech filtration.. or something else.. I am not quite sure how much room you have, but I would think you could rig a floss chamber, it looks big enough.

That tank does NOT want any HOB filters ...

Can't wait to see more of this tank.

can you explain how to make a floss chamber? And if I were to run a canister would I have to modify anything? Like could I just drop in a xp3?

a canister can run from your tank's overflow box. their is a hole on top of your overflow box right? make a durso piping and them put the input and output inside the overflow box. it will work fine. and one more thing you can do if you want to use a HOB your wet/dry sump can house one HOB on it... hopefully it would fit if not them go for the canister. worst comes to worst i would suggest getting an internal filter. the eheim balls are good. just get two big one's on both end.:D or put some sponges on your rio's. if you leave that one open it would either get clog easily or worst get a fish on it since it is sucking water like a hungry pig.
