if my fish were in that much distress like you say they are wouldnt there be some kind of noticeable change and even i know that is to many fish for one tank but it would be cool to drop in a couple dozen feeders

Feeder fish are full of diseases. You want to introduce fish that you know have diseases into a tank of fish that have no immune system because "it would be cool"?

Seriously, go get a pet rock. You aren't capable of dealing with living organisms.

your saying that a fish is capable of growing 4 feet that it has to. there are hunders of different types of fish that grow bigger in some areas then others. a very old pond i fish all the time the biggest bass in there is 5lbs but in some golf course ponds(that is smaller and way more polluted) in the same area the bass are like 15lbs.

No, if given a healthy environment it should grow four feet. Given a dirty unhealthy environment stunts it growth making its body stop growing but internal organ continue to grow. It will end up dieing a lot sooner then it would in a healthy environment. "Growing to the the size of the tank" isn't a good thing.

is everything you post followed by an insulte maybe i would listen to what you say more if you didnt say that im so bad at it. im sorry i feel diffenetly about fish then everyone. i fish and spearfish all the time. i have a tank because i wanted to see fish feeding on other fish because i never get to see that. i kill some kinds of fish that i have in my tank. i have always been giving my fish feeders and have never had a problem.

If an rtc/tsn never gets to (or past) 4' in length, then yeah, there's something wrong. Every species is different, some fish commonly reach max size, others don't, you can't compare a bass to a rtc/tsn. :screwy:

In all honesty, if I were in your situation, I would get rid of the fish ASAP and just completely start over with some smaller, easier to keep fish, like small tetras, cories, synodontis, etc., but nothing that requires any special care (like extremely clear water, special diet, etc.) or is capable of getting to over 6".

so your saying that a sailfish out were i live that normaly gets to about 60lbs will die one day because its organs get to big and that the sailfish down in miami that gets to 80bs normaly will die because it dosnt get as big as the ones in mexico that get 100lbs. and the pond that has the small bass has tons of food places to bed. everything is perfect about that pond yet they dont get that big. that nasty polluted pond the bass get huge.

I hate the fact ppl ask for advice only to be insulted or have their delicate ego hurt in the process, why argue the point with experienced fish keepers???:nilly:

Thats not stunting. Thats something to do with genetics and various other elements.

honestly its your tank and do what you want with it. I would keep your JDs and thats it. I would add some smaller fish to that setup and you have a nice little system going.

Learn to read, I am not going to repeat myself when I know I made my point pretty clear the first time.
