Use blackwater extract and PH buffer 7.0 . It will drop PH and hardness. Both are fairly cheap....

I won't use chemicals on my tank and I don't play with my pH.

Thanks. The female is about 6" and the male is close to 8". I use a combination of white and actinic blue lighting and it really makes them pop.
