I do species composition sampling for the National Marine Fisheries Services so they can manage the fisheries. I spent 86 days on a Factory
Trawler in the Bering Sea for my last deployment.

Do people really eat all those weird looking fish ? Or did you just kill them cause they where caught in your net ?

I got home on Thursday from my second deployment. This time I was on the SEABROOKE (Pot Cod) for a week then I spent a month on the Bering Leader (Longline Cod). I did take some pictures to share. I was deployed out of the Port of St. Paul Island. I saw Artic Foxes and Northern Fur Seals. Enjoy!!

Awesome pictures! I first thought all the fish caught in the nets were stingrays!
But they are not once I looked closer.

While awaiting my debriefing, I spent three weeks in Seattle, Wa during that time, I went to the Seattle Aquarium. Here are the pictures I took while I was there.

nice work on destroying the oceans wildlife to make a few bucks netting like that is the reason why u dont catch nothing decent hear in bris.
