I don't consider it a flowerhorn but others will. This is what I wanna try and partially why I want an ok midas.

my guess is a midas with a huge nuchual hump will be better.... exactly what is crossed with this? is it just 2 fish? or many fish?

They might be a bit of line breeding involved but it should just be Midas and a Vieja involved.
 
I think I was told he is a year old. There is alot that goes into breeding the perfect Flowerhorn gentlemen. I'm not sure exactly what makes up a Red Monkey, but It does make sense the different breeds you picked. I can see Rose Queen, Synspillum and Red Devil in the mix. I've seen mature Synspillum with really large koks also. It must take years of breeding to get everything right.
