Hey everyone I seen this photo of a cool black aro that sold and was wondering what everyone thinks the mutation is. It looks pied but it looks like it could also be a xanthic fish in the peeling process? Thoughts?

Wow they look very similar. The one at lone star maybe not as dark though, wonder if both will completely peel like chubby plecos
I think exotic aquatics LLC has one too! Maybe there’s some catch location where this is more common!
Would be surprised if these were wild caught and not bred, especially if there are a number turning up, catching one that’s not a 2” baby would be rare, catching 3 surely a million to one odds.
