in my opinion keeping aros for awhile. they eat like pigs no matter what.
i had a jardini that ate literally 8 whole shelld prawns! daily! for about 3 months, then it grew fast, slowed downt o 2 to 4 daily.
they wills low down
if not, you may have a monstrous aro on your hands.
really in nature, they constantly look for food, graze and eat what ever they can and see on top of the water.
most fish that are naturally ocuring, will horde food as an instinct because in nature - you dont nkow when the next big feed is.
so they put on fat as store.
but yours is in a tank.
if its still hungry - i say feed it. nothing that swells though like massivoer but prawns, worms, go ahead!
as long as the water temp is warm - 28 to 29, it will digest and eat it.
my rtg is huge now and eats 2 max 3 shrimp at a time, sometimes i feed 3 and the next day it wont eat anything. They slow down in feeding.
